Construction has started at 60 Wilton Road’s Bankside house. The new condominium complex will offer twelve luxury homes on the Saugatuck River, is was designed by Westport-based Roger Ferris + Partners architects. The project is by Westport’s David Adam Realty, and will be completed in partnership with Urbane New Haven. It will be the newest addition to the lower Wilton Road area, including recent renovations to National Hall and the Save the Children headquarters building.
Save the Children anchored the Wilton Road property from 1974 until their move in November of 2013 to Fairfield, which was based on a need for a more open floor plan for the growing international organization, according to the Connecticut Post. Prior to Save the Children, the building served as the home to the historic Famous Artists’ School starting in 1948.

The four-tower design allows for residents to enjoy views of the river, downtown, courtyards, and Wilton Road neighborhood from their single story condominiums. Listing prices start at around 2.2 million and increase to above 4.2 million.
The Save the Children property was purchased in 2013 for $11,925,000, according to the Westport-News, with the Bankside House’s portion of the property being transferred from Greenfield Partners to David Adam Realty in December 2020 for 3.93 Million.
