Westport Garden Club Flowers Bloom at Westport Museum’s Spring Market
The Westport Garden Club’s floral sale brought beautiful colors to the Westport Museum this afternoon.
Compo Beach Staff Return for the 2021 Season
Compo Beach staffers returned to their posts today as the beach parking lot was closed for all non-stickered vehicles, like Luca Zaffina and Samantha Schwartz who manned the booth to check for stickers or to process daily parking passes. The beach was visibly less crowded compared to last weekend, with a few dozen cars seen around midday.
Skipping on Main: Dance Collective Students Show Off their Skill at Westport’s Health and Fitness Expo
Blake Raho and Jessica Anderson, both local 6th graders, showed off their skills in the Westport Dance Collective’s presentation space on Main Street as part of the Health & Fitness Expo. Both Raho and Anderson are students of the local dance studio. The Dance Collective, 222 Post Road West, held dance lessons throughout the day - like hip-hop to salsa - and this presentation designed to get kids active and participating. Dance has been an exercise and sport that’s increasingly common for kids and adolescents as it builds confidence and coordination, in addition to strengthening motor skills.
Westport Museum, Westport Garden Club Celebrate Spring with Market at Downtown’s Historic Bradley-Wheeler House
The Westport Museum for History and Culture is starting off the season with a Spring Market on the lawn of their historic Bradley-Wheeler house at 25 Avery Place, on the corner of Myrtle Avenue. The market includes botanical items from the Westport Garden Club as well as locally made crafts and art pieces. The market will go until 4:00 PM.
